I just have to admit that I've never seen a Kevin Smith movie until last night, after a party and I watched Clerks. I have to say, it really *is* one of the freshest low budget piece of works i've ever seen, and now I'm up for seeing even more Kevin Smith movies.
I never understood why people loved him so much, and a Mr Souljacker's signiature saying that Jay & Silent Bob do not lick balls... well, as far as I can see, they don't and they're **** funny.
"There are a lot of women in life, only a few give you lasagn?, the rest cheat on you"
Or something, lol. Whats the other bit i liked.
Customer: "Pack of cigarettes please. Nice cat, whats its name?"
Randall: "Annoying customer!"
Customer: "**** you dickhead!"
LoL. Some quality lines in there.
Dante: "MY GIRLFRIEND SUCKED 36 COCKS!"
Customer: "In a row?!"
Heh. Anyways, what's the link with the BBC? Well my friend wants to make a short thats similar to Clerks, and after the party last night, I got home and found this sitting on my desk:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/talent/film
It's a chance to make a 10 minute short, and send it in on VHS. Possibly get it shown on BBC choice, and then, boast to all your friends.
Oh well, back to the doobs now, later!

I think Kevin Smith is a very good writer/director (even though Im Paul Thomas Anderson's number 1 fan).
In my opnion Chasing Amy is the best film he's made so far - definately check that one out next.
10 minutes is a bummer though on that BBC website.

Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back... lick balls.
Talk about bad. I love Clerks, and Chasing Amy... Mallrats is good to a 14 year old (I was 14 once) and Dogma.. well Dogma is Dogshit.
Anyways,
Kevin Smith is a decent writer, and an medicore director... nothing more and nothing less.

Kevin Smith is a great writer, and his directing is getting better. Dogma would've been better if it had a style, but Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was a very slick movie.
I thought so, anyway.
